Performance After Retirement

I’ll be honest; I have ulterior motives.

You see, I want to you train your situational awareness systems not only to reach new levels of performance now, but also so you can have the highest quality of life well past your retirement.

In the over 10 years as a Physical Therapist, I’ve worked with the highest level of tactical operators, and with the most aggressively declining ALS patients. Advanced Parkinson’s and Dementia is horrible, and these patients see me to help maximize their independence with moving and preventing falls. Strength and endurance are a huge piece of this, but so is training their situational awareness systems and the speed at which they respond to the environment.

No one puts more demand on their situational awareness systems than tactical operators, but we all depend on these systems to function, and fast responses to the environment are important whether we are 20 or 99.

Visual, Auditory, Vestibular, Somatosensory.

Train these systems now for performance but continue to challenge them throughout your life. Just like diet and exercise, the compound effect of this training has lasting impact on your capabilities in the years to come.
