The reality of your job is that you must be ready anytime, anywhere.
You won’t always know what your operational tempo will be, what you’ll be sleeping under, or what training equipment you’ll have access to.
This requires your training programs to be adaptable to anytime, and anywhere.
I’ve worked as a Physical Therapist on four Native American reservations, in the fields with migrant farmworkers, and in Maya villages in southern Belize.
I wouldn’t be effective if I was dependent on expensive, bulky equipment. But someone is always trying to sell me on some new, expensive technology.
Don’t get seduced by the latest training technology or equipment.
Find programs that you can take with you anywhere you go.
When I look at programs, I like to filter it through what the picture above represents.
That’s a picture of the tent my grandpa slept in while in France during WWII. He was a machinist with the R.C.A.F. The wood over the tent was so flak wouldn’t come through a hole.
